Additional Requirements
AI API Key or Credits (Required)
B-Roll Me requires either an AI API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, or OpenRouter) or a credits balance for script analysis and clip evaluation. Use your own API key for full control, or purchase credits for a simpler setup. Supported providers:
- Anthropic — Claude Opus, Sonnet, etc.
- OpenAI — GPT, GPT Mini, etc.
- Google Gemini — Flash, Pro, etc.
- OpenRouter — Access to 100+ models
YouTube API Key (Not Required)
B-Roll Me searches YouTube and fetches transcripts without a YouTube Data API key. It uses the InnerTube protocol directly.
Bundled Tools
B-Roll Me bundles yt-dlp (for video downloading) and ffmpeg (for segment trimming). These are included in the installer — no separate installation needed. You can update yt-dlp from within the app's Settings.
