Sign up at the provider of your choice: console.anthropic.com for Claude, platform.openai.com for GPT, aistudio.google.com for Gemini, or openrouter.ai for OpenRouter. Each provider has a free tier or free credits for new accounts.

No. B-Roll Me searches YouTube and fetches transcripts without needing a YouTube Data API key. It uses the InnerTube protocol directly.

After finding candidate clips on YouTube, B-Roll Me fetches each video's transcript (captions). It then searches the transcript for keywords related to your script context and highlights matching segments with timestamps.

When a YouTube video has no captions, B-Roll Me can use Whisper (an open-source speech recognition model) to transcribe the audio locally on your device. On Apple Silicon Macs, this is Metal-accelerated for faster processing.

This can happen if YouTube temporarily blocks requests. Try again after a few minutes. If the issue persists, check your internet connection.

Make sure the output directory exists and is writable. Try updating yt-dlp from Settings > Tools. Some videos may have download restrictions that prevent segment extraction.
